On 18 December 2023, the Prosecutor Vetting Commission approved its Rules of Procedure, as well as the Declaration and Ethics Questionnaire to be completed by the candidates it will review.
These rules govern the organization and functioning of the Prosecutor Vetting Commission, including its mandate, conduct, meeting procedures, voting processes, conflict of interest obligations, communication and transparency efforts, secretariat operations, evaluation criteria, public hearing procedures, and personal data protection.
The Commission’s declaration form requires candidates to provide detailed information about their finances and personal interests, and also requires candidates to include a list of their close relations working in the judiciary, prosecution and public service.
