The Prosecutors’ Vetting Commission announces upcoming public hearings for representatives of the leadership of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office: Interim Chief Prosecutor Marcel Dumbravan and Interim Deputy to Chief Prosecutor Mariana Leahu. Both will appear before the Commission for an evaluation of their ethical and financial integrity, a key step in building a more transparent and trustworthy justice system.
The hearings are scheduled for Monday, 30 June, at 13:00 (Dumbravan) and 16:00 (Leahu), and will take place at the National Institute of Justice (1 Serghei Lazo Street).
The evaluation process involved extensive checks: 26 state institutions and databases were consulted in Dumbravan’s case, while 30 were reviewed for Leahu. Additionally, the Commission submitted five rounds of follow-up questions to Marcel Dumbravan and four rounds to Mariana Leahu, requesting further clarifications and documentation.
The hearings are public, and you are welcome to attend. For organizational purposes, we kindly ask that you register in advance by June 30 at 10:00 AM by emailing press@vettingmd.org with your full name and, if applicable, the organization you represent.
