Prosecutor Andrei Balan from the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office appeared on Monday, July 7, before the Prosecutor Vetting Commission, as part of the ongoing integrity evaluation process carried out under Law No. 252/2023.

During the hearing, members of the evaluation panel asked questions to clarify the information the prosecutor had submitted in his evaluation file with the goal of determining whether the candidate meets the legal standards.

The hearing is a required part of the vetting process, during which the Commission speaks directly with the candidate to address any doubts about their integrity. Following the hearing, the evaluation panel has up to 30 working days to issue a written decision explaining whether the candidate has passed or failed the vetting.
