The Prosecutor Vetting Commission published the reasoned report on the integrity evaluation of Deputy Prosecutor General Sergiu Russu. The report, which confirms that the prosecutor successfully passed the vetting process, sets out the relevant facts and the reasoning behind the conclusion of the Evaluation Panel. The publication of the report complies with the provisions of Law No. 252/2023 and respects the legal deadline – no later than three days after the expiry of the period for appealing the decision of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP).

As a reminder, on 2 September 2025, the Prosecutors’ Vetting Commission issued the evaluation report, and on 18 September 2025, the SCP accepted it confirming that Mr. Sergiu Russu successfully passed the integrity evaluation.

The Prosecutor Vetting Commission was established under Law No. 252/2023 to conduct a one-time evaluation of the ethical and financial integrity of specific categories of prosecutors in the Republic of Moldova. This includes leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office and prosecutors within specialized prosecution offices.
