On 19 December 2025, the Prosecutor Vetting Commission held public hearings with the participation of Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office prosecutors Vitalie Ivanov and Victor Cazacu.

As part of the evaluation process, Panel B of the Commission collected and examined information relevant to the assessment of prosecutor Vitalie Ivanov’s ethical and financial integrity. The Panel members addressed clarification questions and requested supporting documents, to which the subject responded within the deadline by submitting the required documentation. The Panel informed the subject that no doubts had been identified regarding compliance with the integrity criteria and that, in the absence of new information, it would approve a report proposing that the evaluation be passed.

Prosecutor Victor Cazacu was heard for a second time by the Commission, as Panel B had not reached the required unanimous vote to approve the evaluation report following the first hearing. During the second hearing, Commission members requested additional explanations regarding discrepancies between income and expenditures, assets and properties held, as well as loans obtained. The subject provided explanations and submitted evidence in support of his statements.

“I hope that I have been sufficiently explicit in addressing all the Commission’s concerns, and I express my appreciation for the work carried out,” Victor Cazacu stated.
