The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has proposed that Gheorghe Borș, Interim Chief Prosecutor of the Policies and Project Management Unit of the General Prosecutor’s Office, pass the ethical and financial integrity evaluation conducted pursuant to Law No. 252/2023.
The evaluation report was submitted on December 30, 2025, to the evaluated subject and to the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP) for the adoption of a decision. The report will be made public after its review by the SCP, the adoption of the relevant decision, and the expiration of the statutory appeal period.
As part of the evaluation procedure, Panel F of the Commission conducted a detailed review of the relevant information concerning the prosecutor’s ethical and financial integrity. Based on the information collected, the Panel submitted a set of written clarification questions to the evaluated subject, who responded and provided supporting documentation. The Superior Council of Prosecutors is expected to rule on the Commission’s proposal within 30 days.
