Interim Prosecutor General Alexandru Machidon was heard in an additional session by Panel A of the Prosecutor Vetting Commission. During the hearing, he provided clarifications in response to questions raised by the Panel members. At the Panel’s decision, the hearing was held in close session.

The Panel will now prepare an evaluation report setting out the relevant facts, the reasoning, and the conclusion on whether the evaluation is passed or not passed. The report shall be approved by a unanimous vote of the Panel members within 30 working days from the date of the hearing. In complex cases, this deadline may be extended to up to 15 working days. The first hearing of the Interim Prosecutor General, from which the report’s deadline is calculated, took place on 10 December 2025.

If the Panel members do not reach a unanimous vote, the report is examined by the Commission. More information about the external evaluation procedure is available in Law No. 252/2023.
