The Prosecutor Vetting Commission informs that the process of external evaluation of ethical and financial integrity of prosecutors, carried out under Law No. 252/2023, continues in full compliance with the applicable legal framework.
The Commission further clarifies that the resignation of Mr. Pierangelo Padova, an international member appointed by Parliament on 10 July 2025, does not affect the ongoing evaluation procedures. Mr. Padova’s resignation was due solely to administrative constraints in his country of origin, Italy.
In this context, the Commission informs that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the smooth continuation of the external evaluation process in the absence of one international member.
