The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has published the evaluation report concerning Prosecutor Vitalie Ivanov of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. The report recommends that the prosecutor pass the external evaluation under Law No. 252/2023 and sets out the relevant facts, the analysis conducted, and the reasoning supporting the conclusion reached by Evaluation Panel B.

On 21 January 2026, the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP) approved the Commission’s report and confirmed that the prosecutor passed the external evaluation. The report is published in accordance with Law No. 252/2023, within the statutory deadline – no later than three days from the expiry of the time limit for challenging the SCP decision, or, where an appeal is filed, within three days from the date of the Supreme Court of Justice’s ruling.
The Prosecutor Vetting Commission is mandated to conduct a one-off assessment of the ethical and financial integrity of certain categories of prosecutors, including the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office and prosecutors from specialized prosecution offices.
