The Prosecutor Vetting Commission will open its June hearing round with anti-corruption prosecutor Victor Cazacu. He will be heard as part of a resumed evaluation procedure ordered by the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP) in February 2026 after it rejected the Commission’s recommendation that Victor Cazacu fail the evaluation.
The hearing is scheduled for 15 June at 1:30 p.m. at the National Institute of Justice, Training Room 005 (1 Serghei Lazo Street, Chișinău). The session is public, and interested persons may attend.
As a reminder, on 16 January 2026, the Commission issued a report recommending that the prosecutor fail the evaluation, finding that he did not meet the financial integrity criteria established under Law No. 252/2023. The report was adopted by a majority of Commission members participating in the evaluation, with two members issuing separate opinions.
