The Prosecutor Vetting Commission reschedules its public hearings on 9-11 October as follows:
Vladislav Gutan and Victor Comerzan are seeking membership in the Superior Council of Prosecutors’ (SCP) Discipline and Ethics Board, whereas Valeriu Sirbu applied for the position of member of the SCP’s Selection and Evaluation Board.
The hearings of the prosecutors Ion Bunica and Octavian Lazarev are rescheduled for the next week. The exact date and time will be communicated additionally.
The hearings will take place at the National Institute of Justice (1, S. Lazo Street) and are open to the public. Individuals, civil society, and media representatives may attend the hearings by notifying the Commission at the email address press@vettingmd.org, by Tuesday, 8 October, at 14:00. Notifications should specify the participant’s name, surname, and the represented organization, if applicable.
Video recording, photography, or live broadcasting are not allowed throughout the hearings. The video recordings in Romanian and English will be available on the Commission’s website and YouTube channel.
