Chisinau, August 8, 2025. The external evaluation of prosecutors is progressing. On August 8, the Prosecutors’ Vetting Commission publicly heard Mihail Ivanov, a prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, continuing the assessment of ethical and financial integrity under Law No. 252/2023.
During the review, the Commission examined: asset and personal interest declarations from the past five years; the integrity questionnaire completed by the subject; information about close relatives holding public offices; as well as data collected from banks, credit bureaus, insurance companies, service providers, recreation centers, public authorities, and other relevant databases.
To clarify certain points, the Commission sent four rounds of written questions to the prosecutor, who responded accordingly. During the hearing, the prosecutor also had the chance to provide additional information and evidence to complete the evaluation file.
The next step is for the evaluation panel to prepare a reasoned report that will outline the relevant facts, arguments, and a conclusion on whether the evaluation is passed or not.
