The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has published the reasoned report on the integrity evaluation of Marcel Dumbravan, Chief Prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office. The report, which confirms that the prosecutor successfully passed the vetting process, sets out the relevant facts and the reasoning behind the conclusion of the Evaluation Panel. This publication fully complies with the provisions of Law No. 252/2023, which requires the report to be made public within three days after the expiration of the appeal period for the decision of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP).
The Prosecutor Vetting Commission issued the evaluation report on July 23, 2025, and on August 21, 2025, the SCP accepted the report and officially confirmed that Marcel Dumbravan passed the integrity evaluation.
The Prosecutor Vetting Commission was established under Law No. 252/2023 to conduct a one-time evaluation of the ethical and financial integrity of specific categories of prosecutors in the Republic of Moldova. This includes leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office and prosecutors within specialized prosecution offices.
