On Friday, the Prosecutor Vetting Commission (Panel B) held hearings, under Law No. 252/2023 on the external evaluation of judges and prosecutors, with Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Grigore Clevadî and Prosecutor Irina Catan, who was previously delegated to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

“The evaluation represents an important step toward strengthening public trust in the Prosecutor’s Office and in those who serve within it. I am confident that through our professionalism and integrity, we will continue to uphold the high standards we committed to when choosing this profession,” said prosecutor Irina Catan.

In turn, prosecutor Grigore Clevadî wished success to his colleagues who are next to be evaluated by the Commission.

The Evaluation Panel found no doubts regarding the ethical and financial integrity of the prosecutors heard, in accordance with the criteria set out in Article 11 of Law No. 252/2023. The evaluation reports for the two prosecutors will be issued within 30 days.
