The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has completed the external evaluation of prosecutor Anatolie Ciuleacu from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. Evaluation Panel A found that he meets the ethical and financial integrity criteria established by Law No. 252/2023 and submitted its report to the subject and Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP), recommending that the evaluation be passed.
During the procedure, the Commission collected and analyzed information from multiple sources, including public authorities, financial institutions and open sources. To clarify specific aspects identified during the analysis, the Panel submitted three rounds of written questions, which the prosecutor answered. The SCP will issue its decision within 30 days. The evaluation report will be published after the legal deadline for contesting the SCP’s decision expires.
So far, 191 prosecutors have been submitted for external evaluation. Of these, 50 evaluations have been completed, 29 prosecutors have resigned or been excluded, and 112 evaluations are currently ongoing.
