The Prosecutor Vetting Commission (Panel B) has completed the external evaluation of two prosecutors from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office: Gheorghe Iapără and Vitalie Ivanov. The Panel found no concerns regarding their compliance with the ethical and financial integrity criteria outlined in Art. 11 of Law no. 252/2023.
The evaluation reports were sent today to the evaluated prosecutors and the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP), along with a recommendation to pass the external evaluation. The SCP has 30 days to decide whether to accept the Commission’s reports. Under Law 252/2023, the reports will be made public after the legal period for contesting SCP decisions has expired, or within three days following a final ruling by the Supreme Court of Justice.
