The Prosecutor Vetting Commission held a hearing on Tuesday, 28 April, with prosecutor Nicolae Mătăsaru from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, as part of the external evaluation procedure under Law No. 252/2023.
During the public session, members of Evaluation Panel A requested clarifications on several aspects, including:
- cash savings
- donations received from multiple relatives
- the use of a vehicle owned by a relative.
The prosecutor had the opportunity to provide explanations and evidence supporting his position. At his request, part of the hearing was held in closed session to protect the privacy and personal security of third parties.
