The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has completed the ethical and financial integrity assessment of two prosecutors: Ina Frunza-Bargan, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, and Inna Vîhodeț, prosecutor at the Cahul Prosecutor’s Office, Main Office. Inna Vîhodeț was assessed in relation to her previous role as delegated prosecutor within the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, Southern Office.

After a detailed review of the collected materials and the subjects’ responses, Evaluation Panel B concluded that both prosecutors meet the integrity criteria set out in Article 11 of Law No. 252/2023 and recommended that they pass the external evaluation.

The evaluation reports have been submitted to the prosecutors concerned and to the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP).

In accordance with the law, the reports will be made public after the deadline for appealing the SCP decisions expires, or within three days after final rulings are issued by the Supreme Court of Justice.

Under Law no. 252/2023, the Prosecutor Vetting Commission is tasked with evaluating the ethical and financial integrity of certain categories of prosecutors, including the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office and prosecutors within specialized prosecutor offices. The integrity criteria cover ethical conduct, absence of incompatibilities and conflicts of interest, justification of assets, and compliance with tax obligations, in accordance with the legal framework.
