The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has completed the ethical and financial integrity assessment of two prosecutors: Grigore Potoran, Acting Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Chișinău Municipal Prosecutor’s Office, and Alexandr Corețchii, a prosecutor at the Soroca Prosecutor’s Office. Both were assessed based on their previous positions at the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, as prosecutor and seconded prosecutor, respectively.
Following the assessment, Evaluation Panel B concluded that both prosecutors meet the ethical and financial integrity criteria set out in Article 11 of Law No. 252/2023 and recommended that they pass the external evaluation.
The evaluation reports have been submitted to the prosecutors concerned and to the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP). In accordance with the law, the reports will be made public after the deadline for appealing the SCP’s decisions has expired or within three days after the Supreme Court of Justice issues a final ruling.
