Prosecutor Vetting Commission Completes Another External Evaluation Procedure

The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has completed the ethical and financial integrity evaluation of Ion Ursu, a prosecutor seconded to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.

Following the examination, Evaluation Panel B found that the prosecutor meets the ethical and financial integrity criteria set out in Article 11 of Law No. 252/2023 and recommended that he pass the external evaluation.

The evaluation report was submitted to Ion Ursu and to the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP), which will consider the report in accordance with the law. The report will be made public after the expiry of the deadline for challenging the SCP’s decision or within three days of the Supreme Court of Justice issuing a final ruling.
