On 7 September 2026, the Prosecutor Vetting Commission published the evaluation reports concerning two prosecutors:
- Grigore Potoran, Acting Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Chișinău Municipal Prosecutor’s Office;
- Alexandr Corețchii, prosecutor at the Soroca Prosecutor’s Office.
The two prosecutors were evaluated in their previous positions as a prosecutor at the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office and, respectively, as a prosecutor delegated to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
In the reports, Evaluation Panel B of the Commission recommended that the two prosecutors pass the external evaluation conducted pursuant to Law No. 252/2023. The reports set out the relevant facts, the Commission’s analysis, and the grounds underlying its conclusions.
The reports were published in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 252/2023, within the statutory timeframe following the expiry of the deadline for challenging the decisions of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP).
On 14 August 2026, the SCP accepted Evaluation Reports Nos. 43 and 44, dated 17 July 2026, prepared by Evaluation Panel B concerning prosecutors Alexandr Corețchii and Grigore Potoran, and found that both prosecutors had passed the external evaluation.
