The Prosecutor Vetting Commission today published the reasoned reports on the integrity evaluation of three prosecutors from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office: prosecutor Gheorghe Caragia and Interim Deputy Chief Prosecutors, Mariana Leanu and Victor Muntean. The reports confirm that all three prosecutors successfully passed the vetting procedure and detail the relevant facts and the reasoning behind the Evaluation Panels’ conclusions. On September 12, 2025, the Superior Council of Prosecutors (SCP) accepted the Commission’s reports and officially confirmed that the three prosecutors passed the integrity evaluation.

The publication of the reports complies with the provisions of Law No. 252/2023, which requires that the reports be made public within three days after the expiration of the appeal period for the SCP’s decision.

The Prosecutor Vetting Commission was established under Law No. 252/2023 to carry out a one-time evaluation of the ethical and financial integrity of specific categories of prosecutors in Moldova, including the leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office and prosecutors in specialized prosecution offices.
